Updating Images Shown on Your Project Dashboard

We’ll be releasing the ability to add/edit specific images to the image blocks on each of your project dashboards soon! Not soon enough, right? Stay tuned for updates on advanced customization options that will allow you to select specific dashboard images. While waiting for this feature, you can manage dashboard images by using the 'MY FAVES' section to prioritize specific images or by uploading new images to the Design Studio.

Overview of Dashboard Image Management

The project dashboard in Aisle Planner displays four images that serve as inspiration or visual highlights. These images can either be auto-generated by the system or customized by the user. Understanding how these images are selected and managed can help you personalize your dashboard effectively.

While the four images that you currently see on each project dashboard start off as randomly selected images, once you start adding images to the Design Studio, these are updated to showcase the four most recently saved images. That said, we recommend that you create a style guide, and add four images to replace the existing images. Just know that as you add more images into the design studio for this project, these images will update as you go.

Default Behavior of Dashboard Images

By default, the four images on the dashboard are auto-generated. The selection process works as follows:

  1. If you have images marked as favorites in the 'MY FAVES' section, the system will pull these images to display on the dashboard. You can manage your favorites by clicking the heart icon to 'un-fave' images.

  2. If no images are marked as favorites, the system will display the four most recently saved images in the Design Studio.

  3. If no images are uploaded, the dashboard will show randomized placeholder images.

Steps to Customize or Replace Dashboard Images

To customize or replace the images on your dashboard, follow these steps:

  1. Upload Your Own Images: Add at least four images to the Design Studio. Once uploaded, these images will automatically replace the default placeholders on the dashboard.

  2. Use the 'MY FAVES' Section: Mark specific images as favorites by clicking the heart icon. The system will prioritize these images for display on the dashboard. To remove an image from the dashboard, simply 'un-fave' it.

  3. Create a Style Guide: For more control, create a style guide in the Design Studio and add four new images to it. These images will then appear on the dashboard.
