Countersigning a Contract

Written by Sara Kincaid

There are a few ways that you can countersign a contract in Aisle Planner:

Via The Email Link To Countersign

As soon as your client signs the contract, you'll receive an email that lets you know that this contract is ready for your countersignature. Note - If there are multiple signers (for example, bride and groom), all must sign before you'll be able to countersign. If the countersign notification is not received, ensure that the correct person is assigned as the countersigner on the document. Only the user who created the contract can perform the countersignature. If you don’t see the countersign option, ensure you are logged in as the contract’s creator.

Once you've received an email notification that a contract is ready to be countersigned, click through the link in the email and a document viewer will open up - just scroll down to the bottom of the contract and type in your counter signature.

Via the In-App Notification In Your Notification Center

As soon as your client signs the contract, you'll receive an in-app notification in your notification center that lets you know that this contract is ready for your countersignature. Click on that specific notification and a document viewer will open up - just scroll down to the bottom of the contract and type in your counter signature.

Via Your Document in Aisle Planner Another option for countersigning after the client(s) sign is to open the document in Aisle Planner, click the gold arrow in the top right, and then click 'Countersign.'  This method does not require clicking an email link, providing flexibility for users who prefer to countersign directly in the platform.

The document viewer will open up - just scroll down to the bottom of the contract and type in your counter signature.

Once all parties have signed, each signer will receive an email with a link to view/download the fully signed and executed document. If a client cannot sign a contract despite receiving the email, ensure all required initial fields are completed before proceeding to the signature step. Additionally, an admin can confirm on the backend that the signer has completed the process, or check the status in the contract section of their Aisle Planner account.
