We've all been there. When will your potential client finally get back to you regarding that well-thought out quote, proposal, or contract you put together for them? You don't want to keep bugging them, but you also want to get that baby signed, sealed, and delivered sooner than later so you can get the planning started. Adding an expiration date to quotes, proposals, and contracts is an excuse to reach out to them to see if they've made a decision or have any questions you can answer. Plus, it sets client expectation from the onset—Your time is valuable.

Adding an Expiration Date to a Quote

To add an expiration date to a quote, view the quote to which you'd like to add an expiration date and choose a date either by choosing a date from the date selector, or manually adding it in when you click on the Expiration Date input field. You can easily change the expiration date at any time, even after the original expiration date has passed.

Adding an Expiration Date to a Proposal or Contract

As with quotes, to add an expiration date to a proposal or contract, view the proposal or contract to which you'd like to add an expiration date and choose a date either by choosing a date from the date selector, or manually adding it in when you click on the Expiration Date input field. You can easily change the expiration date at any time, even after the original expiration date has passed.

What Your Client Sees

When you client tries to view an expired document, they received the following message and are prompted to reach out to your company for any updated version. To change the expiration date, just view the quote or document you wish to change and change the date in the Expiration Date field.
