You can create notes that your clients can't see as well as notes that your clients can't edit.

Did you know that you have the option to manage permissions for each individual note or shortcut in your Aisle Planner projects? Read on for all the details below.

What Restrictions Are Available?

There are three levels of permissions when it comes to restrictions for each individual note or shortcut (and note templates too!)

No Restrictions

As the default permission setting, notes and shortcuts with no restrictions can be viewed and edited by anyone who has access to that note (and project) in your account.

Reminder: Although you can manage restrictions for each note individually, if you've set a global permissions for a client via your planning partners page to "read only" for notes, your client won't be able to edit any notes or shortcuts, regardless of each note's restrictions. If you've set a client's global permissions to "no access" for notes, your client won't be able to see the notes tab at all.

Client Editing Locked

If a note has been set to "Client Editing Locked," they will be able to open and view the note, but they won't be able to edit it. They'll still be able to download and share any notes that have this restriction.

Org Members Only

Notes that are set to "Org Members Only" are only visible to team members who are a part of your organization AND have access to the specific project in Aisle Planner. Client's won't even know these notes exist in their notebook.

How to Adjust Permissions

There are two ways to adjust your permissions within a project.

From the Note Index

Once you've created a note or shortcut in your notebook, you can adjust each note's permission settings from the Note Index, through the 3-dot more menu that appears when you hover over each note card.

From Within a Note

You can also adjust restrictions within each note's EDIT menu.

  1. Open the edit menu by clicking on the black EDIT button toward the top right of your screen.

  2. Expand the RESTRICTIONS menu

  3. Adjust your permissions for this note using the dropdown menu.
