Aisle Planner’s Lead Contact Forms put your inquiry intake on autopilot. As soon as a prospective client submits a form on your website, a new Lead Record is created in your Lead Manager, complete with all client details and project requests.
⚡ Quick Start: Using the Default Contact Form
If you want to start accepting inquiries right away, you don't need to build a form from scratch!
Aisle Planner provides a ready-to-use Default Contact Form pre-loaded with all essential core fields (Name, Email, Event Date, Guest Count, Service Type, etc.).
To use the Default Form:
Navigate to Settings ⚙️ then to Leads and scroll down to Contact Forms.
The Default Form box is pre-checked for you.
Check the Publish Page box.
Copy your embed code or custom URL to add to your website—you’re ready to receive leads!
✉️ Set Up Your Automated Lead Response (Both Form Types)
Whether you use the Default Form or a Custom Form, you can set up an instant auto-responder so potential clients receive a confirmation email moments after reaching out!
Scroll down to the Auto-Responder section beneath your form settings.
Check the box to Enable Auto-Responder.
Craft your custom confirmation message (e.g., thank them for reaching out, share your office hours, or include a brochure or questionnaire attachment).
🎨 Customizing Your Lead Form
If you want to add custom questions, reorder fields, or build multi-column layouts, you can switch to the Custom Form Builder:
Step 1: Switch to Custom Mode
Uncheck the Default Form checkbox to unlock the custom form builder below.
Scroll to Custom Styles to change fonts and color palette of your lead form.
Scroll down to the form builder and start adding your fields!
💡 Pro Tip: Start with a Clean Slate!
We recommend clicking Delete All Fields in the custom form builder before you begin. This allows you to apply core fields and custom questions in the exact order and column layout you want from the ground up!
Step 2: Add Custom Fields (Optional)
If you need to collect specialized information (e.g., Food preferences, Budget ranges, Theme or Party Information, etc), create those fields first:
From your Leads tab Click the Custom Fields tab on the left menu.
Click + Add Custom Field and select your field type (Text Box, Dropdown, Checkbox, etc.).
Now, let's apply those onto your contact form.
Step 3: Apply Fields & Build Your Layout
Once your custom fields are created, head back to your form builder and apply your fields onto the form canvas using the 'Add Field or Row to Top' gold button.
Choose your column layout: Select 2-column or 3-column configurations to group related questions onto a single line (e.g., First Name / Last Name). This keeps your form compact and prevents long scrolling on your website.
Select a core field or custom question from your list and click to place it on your form.
Repeat until all desired core and custom questions are applied in your preferred sequence.
⚠️ Important Note on Merge Fields:
If you plan on using automated merge fields in email templates or documents (e.g., {{client_first_name}} or {{event_date}}), you must use the built-in Core Fields on your form. Custom questions do not populate system merge fields.
🚀 Step 4: Publish & Share Your Custom Form
Check the Publish Page box when your custom form is complete. You can click the 'View' link to preview and fill in your form to test it out!
Choose how to place the form on your website:
Direct Link / Custom URL: Copy your unique URL to link to a "Contact Us" button or social media link.
Website Embed Code: Copy the HTML embed snippet and paste it into your website builder (WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Showit, etc.).
🧪 Always Test Your Form!
Before pushing your form live to clients, submit a test inquiry through your website or direct link. Verify that:
You receive the instant email and in-app notifications.
Your auto-responder email arrives in your test inbox.
The new lead record populates accurately in your Lead Manager.
The redirect URL functions properly (if enabled).
