The Ultimate Guide to Online RSVPs in Aisle Planner
Using Aisle Planner to collect RSVPs is the most efficient way to manage your guest list. Whether you have 20 guests or 200, follow this guide to ensure a smooth experience for you and your guests.
1. Enabling Online RSVPs
Before guests can respond, you need to "publish" your guest list to your event's URL. Follow below for instructions.
Preparation Checklist
Finalize the List: Add all guests, plus-ones, and children to the Guests tab. For instructions on uploading your guest list, click here.
Assign Events: Ensure guests are added to every event they are invited to (e.g., Ceremony, Brunch, Rehearsal). For instructions on adding guests to secondary events, click here.
Create Your URL: Go to the Website tab and set your custom URL. Once your custom URL is created, you'll find your RSVP link at the bottom of website builder page.
Note: You can use the RSVP link even if you aren't using the Aisle Planner website.
Activating "RSVP Search"
To make your guest list searchable for your guests:
Go to your Guests tab and click on 'Messages'.
Select Send Online RSVP Request via the Guest Message tool.
The Master Switch: You must click SEND on this message to "publish" your list to the search tool. This step is required to activate the search feature on your RSVP link.
NOTE: NO EMAILS REQUIRED ‼️
If you prefer not to email your guests an RSVP request directly, REMOVE the email in that guest's record. This is preferred for a total online experience.
2. Updating Your List & Making Changes After RSVP is Live
Once your RSVP link is live, you may need to tweak things. Use this guide to see if you need to "Resend" your RSVP message to sync changes.
Change Made | Action Required |
Editing Names / Adding to existing parties | ✅ None. Updates automatically. |
Changing "Reply By" date or Event Info | ✅ None. Updates automatically. |
Adding Meal Options or Allergies | ✅ None. Updates automatically. |
Adding a NEW Guest Party | ✉️ Resend a 'Follow Up' RSVP Message. This syncs new names to the search. |
Adding a NEW Event (e.g., Sunday Brunch) | 🚨 Send a BRAND NEW Message. Ensure the new message includes ALL events. Think of it as starting new. Existing RSVP responses will not be impacted. |

RSVP Summary: Each box represents a status. You can click the box to cycle-through each status. Online RSVP guests must be in an 'Invited' state
Tracking Meals via the RSVP Summary
First, let's add your meals to each event. Click here for instructions.
Once meals have been added to an event, a column for meals will appear to the right side of the event name under your RSVP Summary page.
💡 Pro Tip: The "Live" Test
Before you announce that RSVPs are open, head to your website or RSVP link and test search a few names (a single guest, a family, and a couple). This ensures the "Master Switch" was flipped correctly and everyone is seeing the right events!
